You can get your fill of old time favorites like shish kabob and Armenian style rice pilaf, eggplant delight and hummus. Or you can indulge in lahmajoon, a thin crust pizza with a smear of lamb, pepper, and tomato. You might also be tempted by the kufta, a meat stuffed lamb meatball, or the cheese boureg baked with cheese and filo, or the yalanchi dolma stuffed grape leaves.
The Women’s Guild of St. Mary resembles a small army of expert cooks that take great pride in preparing hundreds of these items in the kitchen weeks in advance. The men of the parish will be outdoors to skewer and grill the lamb and chicken - you will be lured by the enchanting smell of kebobs. Also not to be missed is the authentic Armenian beer, pomegranate, and grape wine. The food will be spectacular and delicious, prepared to perfection by authentic food experts served in ample portions at reasonable prices.
