Hokehankist Service

To your request a Hokehankist Service for your loved one(s), kindly fill in the areas below so that we can include them in our Church Bulletin and E-Newsletter.

Please Note:

-To request a Hokehankist/Requiem Service, please submit the form by 12:00 Noon on Thursday.

-Arrangements for Requiem Service, Alter Flowers and Candles should be made through the church office by Thursday at noon.

-For Hospitality Table- in addition to food/desert, the following items are needed for the Hokehankist Hospitality table:  coffee, cups, milk, plates, plastic forks, knives, spoons, are to be provided by the family requesting the service.
Donation to the Church – when making a donation to the church, you can mail a check to the Church Office at St. Mary Armenian Church, 4125 Fessenden St., NW, Washington, DC 20016, or give it to a Parish Council Member after the Badarak. 
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the church at 202-363-1923.
 
** It is a pious tradition in the Armenian Church for the family requesting Hokehankist to arrive towards the beginning of the service in order to kiss the Holy Bible before the mid-day reading

 

-In accordance with the canons of the Armenian Church, Requiem Services may not be performed on the five major feast days: Armenian Christmas, Easter, The Feast of the Transfiguration, The Feast of the Assumption of the Mother of God, and The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. (Please refer to our home page calendar)
